A downloadable game for Android

AirTactics is a turn-based strategy game (wargame) dedicated to the air battles of World War II.

The game consists of various missions:

    - air battles

    - attack or defense of ground targets

    - interception of bombers

    - escort and protection of own bombers

The missions are based on historical events.

Each aircraft has unique characteristics. Use and combine them right to become a winner of air combat! 

And remember: you are always at gunpoint! Check your six o'clock!

Install instructions

Windows, Linux, Mac installing:

1. Download Zip multiplatform portable file

2. Unzip it to some folder

3. Run the following command to start the game or execute run.bat:

java -jar airtactics-0.9.0.jar

4.  Note: it's required minimum Java (JDK) version 8 to be installed on your computer. You can download the latest version (JDK version 21+) at the official website.


Android APK installing:

  1. Download the APK file. Find the downloaded APK in your file explorer (manager). Select it to initiate the installation. Any file explorer will do.
  2. You’ll receive a warning at the bottom of the phone letting you know that you must give that app permission to install the file.
  3. Tap the Settings button to proceed.
  4. On the next page, you’ll be asked to allow the app to make APK installs. Toggle on Allow from this source.
  5. A prompt should pop up, giving you the option to Install the app.
